So far the game is amazingly stable for a beta. More stable than MxO was on release. I think I've had a CTD maybe twice and I've noticed a few bugs in the inventory system. Otherwise most of the problems have to do with quest descriptions that either give you inaccurate or incomplete information. Oh, and I found a suicidal horse.
There's a ton of quests, and all of your leveling can be done with these quests. There's no mindlessly killing creatures to level. Although killing a quatity of certain creatures will unlock titles and traits. As Shadow describes, the average "townpersons" quests can be rather simple, but the epic quest line is rather cool. I've just completed the epic quest line in the first area I started in and was really impressed.
The world is incredibly huge. You can travel from town to town by renting horses, but don't expect to pop to a loading screen and appear in the next town. You actually ride all the way to the next town with the horse under the PC's control. This is assuming of course the horse doesn't jump off a cliff. Supposedly you can buy horses at higher levels, but I haven't seen anyone free roaming on one yet. You also begin with a "map home" that will let you teleport to the location you've defined as home. You can find mile markers in the world which let you redefine where "home" is.
Combat is relatively straight forward. At least for a Guardian, I haven't tried the other classes. And for once, there's no killer rats. I don't care for the fact that they created a "wizard" class, but the spell effects aren't too over the top.
Overall, I'm enjoying the game. I wish the graphics were a little more realistic, but at least it doesn't have the "painted by a three year old with crayons" look that WoW has.
