Great to hear some people excited to recruit and have done very well, got to meet some great new people. you all have a good eye.
Just keep a few things in mind. basic do's and donts. never actively campaign to someone to join us. we dont need too, our rep speaks for itself and you may appear to be annoying if you have to ask someone more then once. Just let any potential good people know the door is open, most everyone will be thankfull and apreciative even if they never join.
Never actively pursue people in other factions. Letting them know the door is open ok, but to tell someone our faction is better then theirs is a big no no. Many factions end up dying after their leadership abandons them, letting refuges know their welcome with us is ok, but try to help them find a new home regardless if its with us or not. Were not the only quality faction around and having people find their niche in the matrix comunity is by far the most important.
Avoid recruiting people on first impression. Dont just go around asking everyone thats not in a faction. Just like we dont want just anyone, they dont want to join the first faction they come across. Get to know them. You may ask them if its ok if you let them know what were all about, regardless if they join, and offer our Pride Statement Email with our websight address, and even offer insight on other factions as well. showing more of a desire to help a person enjoy thier experience in the matrix rather then pressure them into joining right away will go a long way.
Never recruit people that have problems getting along with other breeds of people. The Pride is a non-discriminating faction, race color creed religion or sexual preference. People that hate blacks or hate the white man or use "gay" as an insult would NOT be good candidates because they would never be able to abide by our first rule. Respect!
Both The Pride and The True Believers have many ties and good relations with all the orgs. People who have a strong hatred towards a particualar org would not be good candidates. "I will not accept the opression by the machines and wil fight to the death to preserve our independance" is fine, but "Machines suck. never liked them never will" or "smelly mervs go away" might not be a good idea. Everyone may be entitled to their opinion, but we dont want to jeapordize any peace talks with other orgs with a member that has an itchy trigger finger and an unforgiving heart.
The Pride currently and most likely will remain, against pre-emptive strikes. People who prefer to freely strike against mervs or machines might be more suited in The True Believers ((unless they're a "red your dead" ass-hat!)) Defending yourself or another is one thing, but to go on killing sprees and get involved in ganks during non-war times is frowned upon. If there is any confusion at wether or not its ok to fight someone, just keep in mind our 2 rules, Respect and Have Fun.
Anyone in The Pride who can figure out the buttons can recruit. Don't need to reach any certain status or amount of time as a member in order to recruit. Keep in mind the entire crew is held accountable for their members, if one acts up and needs to be booted, we cant boot one person, the entire crew would have to be sacrificed. This may sound tragic, but I have no problem booting an entire crew if The Pride's reputation depends on it. The non-troublemakers would be quickly welcomed back as they jack back in and would be notified by ingame email.
Notice were called The Pride. much like a pride of cats, we look out for each other and absorb others into our freindly pack easily. People find us appealing for many reasons, so just go out there and have fun while being respectfull, people notice, and recruitment will never be a problem.
