EDUCATING PEOPLE ON COUNTER MOVES/DEFENSES ON SPY TREE IN PVP... let's discuss, research, improve... shall we?
So with this patch today, the detect ability & hot bar use of "Concealment Countermeasure Tool" now works -- ONLY AGAINST DISGUISES (I though it might work against sneak but it doesn't)
PATCH NOTES SIMPLY SAID: Concealment Countermeasure Tools now correctly deactivate disguises.
---------PVP thread on what all one can do to counter steathy moves------
1) Dection ability/tool -- great good option for those wanting thart MKT/master Spies doing the move. with disguise. (why they like to use disguise is they can move faster than sneak & you can hyperjump in a bind)... hah so now we have defense for their favorite stealth prep (where before you saw them coming but were helpless other than the block, glasses, run, etc.)
2a -- the what) If anyone goes sneak/invisible there seems to be 4 seconds before they go off your view (if you can't view someone you can't target them -- in fact correct me if I'm wrong but once someone sneaks say 15meters away they're shadowy then 3 to 4 secs later poop gone from view & YOUR TARGET SELECTION OF THEM IS UNSELECTED, right?)
2a the counter) Ok you see someone go sneak/invisible/concealment -- you best shoot off some quick 2 sec or less damage AND HIT THEM. damage breaks sneak & concealment right -- I seem to recall there's a percentage chance that invisible doesn't break on damage
<<anyone willing to test the invisible breaks what percent on some standard type of ranged attack -- that's be good reseach>>
2b) once they go off your view -- there's a few things that can pop them out -- static field 1.0 (about the only good use of it is poping already invisible poeple out), maybe that normally considered lame Aikido out of interlock move (Swirling Ki Burst) it's an area damaging attack -- can anyone test it with some % of success vs failure to pop an sneak or even better also invisible person out that mode.
3) general tactics -- when they make their steal move, having both watcher's shades, the hyper for throw, & being on block are great starting state... they fail & you quickly switch to grab & try to IL them... if done quick they're expecing success & you antipate their failure & IL them when they didn't expect it.
4) generally downgrading MKT speed or rooting them -- taken them way out of their rythm to hit you with the crippling throw & the time & physical space to back up -- put on sneak now (wait longer to disappear from map) & return... you'll have more time if these MKTs realise disguise ain't gonna work in PVP.
Ok zion, let's rock the Kazba again in PVP (luv that 80s song),
