So,
If you haven't heard a small bug was removed in Update 52. Expect more miss, miss in IL -- whatever your build is.
WHY A PROBLEM SUMMARY:
IN IL ONLY: Now too low accuracy vs the opponent's defenses means a miss, miss now occurs; only problem was all the balancing (including each specials extra tactical boost when pulled off) -- that balancing of cr2 was relying on this bug in place.
It wasn't documented but was discovered by a common miss, miss, scenario in Interlock (IL) in this link:
This link (describes the problems, the heated debate of whether this is a undocumented CR2.5):
forums.station.sony.com/mxo/posts/list.m?topic_id=36300013280
WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS BUG FIX DO TO COMBAT: Basically the developers didn't like a special vs regular attack to behave like the following, again just in IL:
pre Update52 SCENARIO#1: a regular attack misses, if the other player used a special attack (yet this special attack had too low accuracy to LEGALLY WIN over the opponents defense)--
the bug was THIS WAS given as a auto win (no need to overcome their defense -- THIS WAS INDEED A BUG, BUT ALL OF COMBAT CR2 WAS BALANCED AROUND THIS BUG (now that it's fixed, uh some specials ONLY IN IL AGAIN will miss more frequently)
It was good timez as a hacker under this old bug as a DOT hacker in IL.
RELATED FIX (TESTING TO VALIDATE APPRECIATED):
But wait this isn't just a nerf of hacker's the MKT somehow in their SNEAK ATTACKS OUT OF IL (now got IL rules of truly overcomming the correct defenses so the MKT sneak attacks seem to be harder to pulls off.
pre Update52 SCENARIO#2: maybe Pylat can fill out more scenarios -- if ya need them.
Anyhow, let's each collect info & compare notes (real data please not just you once did a PVP & got miss, miss)
WHY (RESEARCH AS A TEAM):
It's mostly about PVP but this fix has made npcs harder in IL too!
We'll employ our best PVP ability strategists on this to explore the best tactics in a this huge change to IL combat.
<<don't shoot the messenger, I didn't make this combat system>>
