Sometimes during your time in MXO you might like to record everying in your chat window, like something important for later reviewing or sharing.
/logstart
/logstop
You can save the file with a special name by typing:
/logstart <name>
All files are saved in your profile.
C:/Program Files/Sony (or Monolith)/MatrixOnline/profiles/(yourprofilename)/chat.log

nice thanks catzi.
I knew the /logstart /logstop commands but I didn't know I could designate a different "name" -- I'll try it.
This is superuseful.
If you don't designate a file name it appends to existing (which can be good or bad depending on what you're chat logging).
Note: I doubt it logs the "upperscreen" text, say if you're pvp & want to log a 5 minute session to see if anyone is using spoits... i doubt this chat log will capture some of that info like when you hit, deflected, someone uses grab, etc. ... but I'll test it.

For a quick method of starting and stopping a logfile you can also hold down ALT and then press L. That's what I do when something unexpected starts happening.
