Check this out...make sure you watch it all the way thru, especially the middle of the video. It is a brand-new Japanese Katana made by a master-swordsmith (using the traditional methods), and they pumped a crapload of 50caliber rounds into it. The slow-motion in the middle is the coolest part...watching the blade dent while the bullets shatter and even watching one of the bullets split clean in half. Needless to say, the 50cal eventually wins, but still astounding nonetheless... (the older bald Japanese man with the white gi top on is the sword smith) www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sHTJAKN-5k

Same with this one, except it's with a 9mm and with a white background....makes it easier to see the effect of the split bullet... www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNiX_l-HEGMI get the feeling this is the japanese version of Mythbusters.

I guess you also saw the mythbusters where they tested whether a sword could cut through a gun's barrel? In case you didnt, it didnt work....bullets are mighty soft compared with gun barrels...A sword is great for flesh and bone...T
