*pulls gun and shoots him.*
Someone needs to come up with a firearms martial art. Like the gun Kata from equilibrium.

That's the beauty of Firearms and why they replaced the Longbow, Crossbow, and Compound Bow. Any idiot can use them. Takes no skill. You don't have to spend a lifetime perfecting the art.
If a retarted Gnat with half a brain had thumbs... it could use a gun.
A chimp can use a gun.... just take a look at any Suburban or Urban jungle. White Chimps, Black Chimps, Asian Chimps, Hispanic Chimps... ending up in Human Zoos and Human Morgues ... pretending to be human ... pull trigger.. ooo ooo AAAAH AHHHH AHHHH......
There. Got my gun rant out of the system. Thanks Hal.
Tony Jaa has some serious skills. No doubt about that. But you have to remember that those little press conference things are HIGHLY Choreographed. Seriously.. those pretty little leap and spin moves with the elbows and knees... try something like that on me and you'll be in a WORLD of hurt.
"Omg... you took both your feet of the ground... hahaha.. so toast..."
*uses physics to pwn the leaping guys butt*

P.S. I would like to point out that I am in awe of his skill at the Kata as the Japanese say. But Kata ain't a real fight. I always sucked at the forms (not really... but compared to guys like Tony Jaa? Yeah. I sucked) but put me in the combat square and I kicked ass.
<---Berzerker. Feels little pain.

you'd be suprised at how much one of those side-roll spinning jumps can confuse/stagger/stun ( ) an opponent when you are trying to gain an offensive advantage from a dominately defensive fight (on your end). Not that I have ever tried it or anything....

Last tournament I competed in. Canadian Open Tae Kwon Do Championships. Before it became an Olympic Sport. If it had been an olympic sport... well... I would have been going to the olympics. Wouldn't have won... but I would have been on the plane. hehe. I'm proudest of this one because it was the hardest to achieve. Being an Open championship that meant anyone could enter. And a whole planeload of Koreans with something to prove to the silly canadians were there. Nice guys. We earned thier respect. hehe.

While Kata aren't a real fight you cannot deny that they do help in learning technique and precision, especially bastard ones like Kata Bassa Dai that I never got around to learning . 44 moves each one involves changing stance, an offensive or defensive move (sometimes both) and then resetting your stance facing another direction. They helped me a lot with proper muscle memory and also being able to mix moves and improve my "Flow" when fighting. But nothing ever beats old school, many of the masters simply used the basics better than anyone else. Just look at Bruce Lee, he owned everything that came near him cause he could smack them in the face before they could take one step forward.

Hehehe. Yes. Absolutely. Kata is one of the more useful training methods. But a lot of people get all impressed by the flashy stuff. I'm glad you brought up Bruce Lee. He is a perfect example. He did the high kicks and flashy stuff for the camera. He learned early on that the audience responds to things like that. But when it came to a real fight/sparring match it's well documented that he rarely kicked above the waist. Hell... he rarely kicked above the knee. But he could punch you in the face before you could blink. His punch was deadly.. more deadly than all that flashy kicking. After all.. he made the one-inch-punch famous by knocking a Karate grandmaster on his ass with it. Footage is still floating around on the internets somewhere. heh. CBC might have it archived as well. Jeet Kune Do is all about efficiency. Bruce wanted to get rid of all that flowery showy crap that is all through Kung-fu styles because it wasn't helping in a real fight against people that know what they are doing.. ei... other Kung-fu masters. Baffles the hell out of people with no training sure... I even remember kicking this one guy in the face a couple times with the same spinning back kick when he came at me... but against someone that knows what they are doing... I'd woulda been dead. Step in, grab/sweep/chop to the throat. heh.
