I have been sneaking a listen or two...or nine to the radio station Catz and I gotta tell ya VERY NICE.... I have a fair knowledge of classic & contemporary hip-hop, r&b, soul, jazz, rap, and pop so if you need some suggestions there let me know. Thats great! Can you make play lists maybe? Something like the "Duece", a show or set that could prolly even be at the Duece downtown, might have all that type of music in a special set. You could prolly come up with a neat 1 hour playlist every other week or so, a new york style - something old and new. I duno, just an idea. I'm also gona work on a show called City Lights, you might have some good ideas for songs and stuff to add to it. and we really could use some voice-overs this week for promo's and shows, I would send you a script, you then read it into the mic while recording, then send it back to me to be digitally edited into a audio promo or show. would you like to try it?

"Suspense" and "X Minus One" now playing nightly starting at Midnight Megactiy Time (for atleast a week or two, or until further notice). A little radio theater for those that are having a hard time falling asleep or if your just in the mood to listen to something different then music. Sometimes the best images are the ones in your mind... Midnight to 3am M.C.T. --- 8am-11am GMT KQRS Morning Show 3am MCT (about an hour and half long) -- 11am GMT Tuesday through Fridays (time tentative) A cast of personable radio personalities that read latest interesting and bizare news storys and have some fun and games without resorting to "shock jock" tactics. On Thursday evenings starting this week or next, is the Vixens Hour. A one hour show entirely put together by our all-female funloving faction allies, The Vixens. Will include both live and podcast shows. Thursday nights 6-7pm MCT -- 2-3am GMT (times tentative) Starting December is City Lights. A special blend of music setting the mood for a little something downtown. Perhaps a Treasure Hunt maybe? 1 hour weekly show. Wish I could give you a time slot for this, but for now i pleased to tell you that... we'll have an all day playlist of stuff you can expect to hear this Wed the 28th.This Saturday Dec 1st is a little experiment for a weekly or bi-weekly show. we crash someones house, then party hard before the cops get there. One person will be crowned "party animal". 10pm MCT - (6am sun morning GMT) Sat Dec 1stwww.spoololife.comA full-schedule of shows and live DJ's around the clock 24/7 will be coming soon in an easy to understand format.

Sure thing Catzi, I'd be happy toss you a couple playlist. I just need a few specifics that your looking for in the playlist cuz if I put in stuff from all those categories it may be a bit too random. I'm still without a mic currently ( I'm gonna head out and look for one within the next few days. any suggestions? ) but I'm game for the voice overs and scripts too. I just might need a walk through on how to record with it because like I said I'm a bit on the retarded side with tech stuff.

I know recording is easy once you get the right program to use. Playlist? ok i duno, like i said i was just throwing an idea that popped into my head out there.... um.... leme think.... .. How bout something like this? *ahem* Welcome to "The Duece", lavish style of old and new, a little soul, a little R&B. A little contempory, a little spice. Some classics, and the new generation of crooners on "The Duece". Tuesdays nights at club duece. *sample 1 hour playlist* (estimated) Al Green - "Full of Fire" Ledisi - "Best Friend" Janita - "I Can't Get enough of You" Amel Larrieux - "Mountain of When" Stevie Wonder - "Higher Ground" Arling & Cameron - "Voulez Vou" Jordan Sparks - "One Step at a Time" Barry White - "Practice What You Preach" Paul Simon "You Can Call Me Al" Aretha Franklin "Respect" Amy Whinehouse - "Know you now" (signoff song)Leonard Cohan - "Everbody Knows" oh and dont forget to add little interesting tidbits of facts for any of the artists or songs. Don't have to be all of them, but if a DJ or voice overs are avaible, then that stuff can be read to enhance the expereince. Like you could add ""Jordan Sparks won American Idol last year and is the daughter of a pro football player from the New York Giants, Phillipe Sparks. This song is off her debut selftitled CD "Jordan Sparks""

Get yourself a good quality head set, preferably one that plugs into a USB port on your computer. The other types can sometimes have feedback problems (Not all, but in my experience some have) where when you speak all other current sounds happening to come out your speakers will also be recorded as Mic input, which can be awkward for DJ's doing a live set. The only problem with a USB headset if you have to end all sound programs before plugging them in, so you can't plug them in halfway through playing MxO or running a playlist.

Ok Catzi, here's what I came up with. It has a touch of "lavish style" and hits all the aforementioned points. I listened to it start to finish (runtime is about 55 mins so there is plenty space for the talk time) and it has a "Sexy time! Much success!" vibe to it. Borat would be proud . (I have made one too many "sexy time" cd's so if its too lovie dovie let me know ) UB40 - “Can’t Help falling In Love” Aaliyah - “At Your Best” Poets of the Fall - “Someone Special” Stevie Wonder ft. Aisha Morris - “How Will I Know” The Temptations - “Just My Imagination” Total - “Kissin’ You” Patti Labelle - “If You Asked Me To” Prince - “Future Baby Moma” Musiq Soul child - “TeachMe” Janet Jackson - “That’s The Way Love Goes” Incubus - “Love Hurts” Vanessa Williams and Brian McKnight - “Love Is” Talib Kweli ft. Norah Jones - “Soon The New Day” Tell me what ya think Catz P.S. Thanks for the mic advice Py. I will be of to best buy after work today. Clep out

Ok Catzi, here's what I came up with. ... ...Tell me what ya think Catz listened to it last night, and i was soaking in a bubble bath with candles lit and slices of cucumber over my eyes in no time. Personally i loved it, But lets switch couple tracks to give a little "bounce" to it for "Duece". Like maybe a different Prince track to give it a little lift? I hear alot of good saprano's, lets not forget the Barry Whites. I was taking some pics for a poster and noticed the Club's name is Dues. so i guess it would be "Duece at the Dues"? or just Dues? hmmmm

Here is mine aswell The look, the font, the appeal, its all top notch. Wording could be a bit better, but lets atleast change the bold underline font to the header, "Mako's all request fest!" and change "NO XMAS SONGS" to "lets lay off the holiday music" in normal print. Lets people know its a "Reqest Fest", wich is more important, without making people think its an "anti-christmas" show. I'd rather get rid of that line completely, but i can understand you dont want to get burnt out on "jingle bells", and alot of people cringe when hearing christmas or hanaka music and will look forward to no xmas music.. but give it one more chance, look up "Wizards in Winter"! i duno but the finale decission is yours. And dont worry, we'll have pleanty of other time to air holiday music. Maybe could even do a holiday set right after this, that'll give you a nice scapegoat.

One thing i want to bring up is what happened at Tabor Park last week. I need to bring this up.... ... Sephr1 was there with his new station, Mako and i were there dancing with ours, and Havocide shows up and says "hey lets make it 3 stations" and turned his stream on too. Fun, but what transpired next was even more interesting... Someone, jokenly i think, says "hey play Barbie Girl! i know you want too". Sephr imediatly told him to "F off" and Havo politely decllined, but what Mako did was TRULY brilliiant! He not only played "Barbie Girl" but also started SINGING along with it!!! Everyone started tuning in as numbers skyrocketed and we were all holding our stomachs from laughing. THIS is what were all about folks, having fun!!!! Big standing ovation for Mako!

Thats awesome Mako. Radio for the people, by the people (even if the songs they ask for are awful ) Paying attention to the listener like that was a real class act move and I wish I was tuned in when it happened. Catz, I kinda got that same vibe from the playlist too and I agree that more bounce is needed (its a party after all, not a makeout session right? ) I'm thinking..... two hour set maybe? I gotta run now but I will have a new playlist for ya this afternoon. Clep out (I hyphenate too much huh)
