Just purchased a very high quality Radio Station. It can stream audio upto 312kbps (128 should be fine for now) with 5.1 surround sound with the latest technology. 1000GB storage is nice too. Still working on a non-profit BMI and other licensing for signed artists. I just got it up and running and i'll post the link here for everyone to check it out. Let me know how it sounds. I'll be working on it continuously so please forgive me if you get dead air or tracks end quickly or whatever, its just me fiddling around. (or passed out from exhaustion) I'll be making and playing various formats and playlists. I'll have a great Halloween mix playing for this week too. By using this link in your favorite media player you agree this is for strictly personal use and not to be recorded, sold, or distributed in any way. Catzi.serverroom.us:6770 ( dont click on that as a link! copy the whole thing including the 6770 part! then paste it into your fav media player , any moderators are free to go ahead and try to fix this) MOD Pylat: For winamp just copy then go File --> Play URL and paste it in. I tried fiddling with the link but the link manager doesn't recognise the : in the URL. Even when I tried to manually set the link by using HTML the link would end at the :
Alternatively you can copy and paste the following link into your address bar Catzi.serverroom.us:6770/listen.pls This will bring up a Download box and you should be able to select the player you want to useYou can also tune ingame by typing into area chat /radio play Catzi.serverroom.us:6770That will be the tempory address untill we name the station. Its ours. All ours I'd love to hear ideas on a name. Also any ideas as to what to broadcast. And let's keep this on the downlow until i get to chat with other stations like RMC and SI, and then get the necessary licenses and everything else i'll need to do. And I'll make an official announcement very soon! Thanks! Catzi the Lioness of The Pride MOD Pylat: Gonna sticky this thread for convenience of newer forum users. Also I created a macro.
/macro CatziRadio /radio play Catzi.serverroom.us:6770
Copy and paste that into the MxO chat box, it will add a button you your hotbar labelled "CatziRadio" that will start the radio when you click on it.

*Idea bubble over head*
Request List Anyone?
Perhaps, with Catzi's approval, we can start a request list here for music we want to hear. Help Catzi expand her repertoire and guide her in the right direction. So far I kinda liked what I heard, Pink Panther theme FTW ;D

awesome Catzi! It was a great honor to be you first listener. I could detect the o.o new toy in your texting -- clear & crisp sound.
My Thoughts: Maybe you post a schedule of your broadcast hours & content. Maybe we have say requests for upcomming broadcasts. (or maybe not if too much work for Catzi).
For live broadcasts -- ingame probably how she'll do live.
Q: Is there any limitation to the amount of listeners -- just want to ensure Catzi is happy with who gets the link & uses up a listener connection.
Keep up the great work Catzi -- you're full of surprises!

Pretty cool catzi! not my type of music (at least when I checked it out), but realy awsome still.... Thanks for mentioning this! I almost forgot to point out we'll have a librarie of 1000GB to choose from and multiple legal resources to aquire music to give this station the largest selection of available music to choose from of any station ever made. Many genres that include Rock Pop Dance House Industrial EBM Metal NewWave Jazz Funk Fusion Goth Rap HipHop Soul... you name it, we'll get it. Even classical and country isn't out of the question! Not that it all will be played in some mog-poj of mixed sets where you'll have to sit through a bunch of tracks you dont like before you hear one that you do... Formats will be clearly displayed in a Show Schedule. Although alot of us like variety and playing everyones requests in a variety set isn't out of the question either. Not only music, but we'll feature in-matrix and out-matrix news. A Hollywood Report. Game Shows like "The $100,000 Ascensioin". Even Radio Drama Theater during late night hours for good bedtime listening. I'm even going to try and toss in a morning show from KQRS and see how you all like it as well as many other things. Great ideas from everyone! keep em coming because... The only limits to this station is your imagination!

Keep up the great work Catzi -- you're full of surprises! ave As for a schedule, i couldnt agree with you more. How bout something like SI Radio does? For those of you who havn't seen it, it clearly displays the DJ slots in the time zone that your from. We might not have enough DJ's and organazation at first, but we can atleast put "Rock Show" or "Club Music" there. I've always been aprehensive of putting myself out there in the public. Especially now days, a girl was raped and murded after responding to an add on Craigslist.com over the weekend and it still sends shivers up my spine. Single woman will understand where i'm coming from. I tossed my cam/mic/IMprograms away, with a "been there done that" feeling, but doing some live DJ stuff is too hard for me to resist and will be eventually getting to the electronics store to pic up a nice microphone. Might be a good way to offically kick things off with a big party of somesort. As far as the limit for listners. I talked it over with a couple experienced DJ's in the matrix and decided to start with one that can handle over 100 listners just to be safe for the first month and adjust it down after our grand opening to 50-100 range, or even can go higher if need be. The company that rents me the server said we can change at any time at no additional charges beyond the normal monthly cost of the setup we change to.

can someone help wip up a schedule similar to the one from SI? one that shows a listing that adapts to a timezone that you pick from. and i can add and change up the schedule. siradio.fm/index.php?show=schedulefree webhosting is fine till we get this all going in full stride. if not, no worries, i'll EVENTUALLY get around to it! that is, if i dont fall over from exhaustion!

I have been sneaking a listen or two...or nine to the radio station Catz and I gotta tell ya VERY NICE. I'm far from a music connoisseur so its been a treat to hear stuff thats out of my usual genres. ( my torrent downloader has been put to good work recently thanks to you) This is a huge project you have undertaken. Pleasing everyone is gonna be impossible, but seeing as your off to a nice start already I'm sure making a great station will be easy for you with a little time and support. I'm far from tech savvy so I cant be of much service net wise but I have a fair knowledge of classic & contemporary hip-hop, r&b, soul, jazz, rap, and pop so if you need some suggestions there let me know. Also I've been told I have "a radio voice" whatever that means but I've never dj'd. The set you made for halloween was kick ass, spooky, trippy, groovy, and silly all rolled into one. Keep up the good work boss lady. Clep out p.s. Sadly I never heard of massive attack till I heard them on Catzi radio afew days ago. Now I cant get teardrop out of my head. Job well done.
