It seems in my absence that The Pride didn't get much combat training. I am happy to teach others, but as this faction grows I won't have the time to teach everyone. Therefore I ask that other begin training people. It can be as simple as the very basics of fighting, how to design an LO, how to use the hyper-defenses, how to use state specials and other tips and tricks. The Tutorial in this game sucks, so a lot of people really have no clue at all, and what you take for granted may be an amazing revelation to others. All that you really need to be able to do is create sims.
So I am putting out an official request that higher level people in the faction look at the Proxy and Utility trees so they can help train others. Perhaps some time we can organise a large meeting for dueling and combat training.

I've got a fully level proxy and utility loadout and would be willing to help. I would also suggest blending say a proxy coder loadout with as much of a script kiddie or vector tree as possible to help others learn how to deal with status augmentations (like powerless, pacify, stun, etc.). Too bad we can't do a mass duel (like pvp) with zion orgs, that would definitely help with pvp/event training...

there shold definitely be a "dojo" zone by faction in the constructs to allow for combat training, where we can all flag against our own faction mates but where other factions cannot enter to spoil the party. would seem easy to implement no? just add an "always flagged" zone to any zion area in any construct, yuki for example. I load up all the proxies and use them as appropriate to peoples levels. I'll also buff the proxies if needed.

So anyone want to do "training sessions"?
WHY WOULD I:
If you want to: - PVP now, down the road... training is awesome - What to farm for top loot in hideouts, maybe even solo? you'll need to have top tech on how a lvl10 can kill a 3 chevran lvl16 (not going to say it'll be easy fight or quick but if you win & get that dragonskin -- woot-age) - Want to duel others (even if you're low level -- you're lvl20 MA & duel a lvl23 MA -- kick his/her butt no problem) ... uh if you get optimal training. (they'll be like woah, how'd that happen?) - You're lvl40 & want a huge challenge... team with a lvl50 & solo do you're missions -- the thugs will be much harder than simply one level above. You'll feel the thrill of winning hard won fight - If you're lvl50, want to do datamining or Pandora's Box solo -- best training is optimal if you're going to succeed (some scenarios will need a team, but a smaller team if all members fight fiercely)
OK, ya sold me -- WHEN? Two ways we can do this -- post/email & we can arrange either: (1) one-on-one (2) scheduled sessions
There's a signup sheet on another post -- seems people where like me & saying naah, I finish my missions so I must know what could be taught. Pylat took the time & trained me some at level 40 & it was an eye opener on some key combat strategies & tactics. I personally reseached dataone, tested, pushed where I was interested & found the results quite (personally) rewarding. It's usually obvious when you duel or PVP against someone who's knows every ounce of strategy for their loadout (well, minus MKT). J/K MKT probably needs strategy too -- even if it's ability spaming (button mashing).
p.s. I currently own the Nuker Sims but I ain't gonna buy the Guns/MA sims if no-one wants serious training.

So no takers on on combat training?
If I refine some PVP help docs in a private website, who'd be interested.
This website I was thinking of developing could easily show some various loadouts & how they'd be optimal or duels or PVP results with certain matchups.
I realize we can post in forums but any more advanced effort for detailed analysis -- well, it'll be a password members only (uh, because that's the condition I'll place in my time & effort to compile, test & verify the uber info).
We have free forums if folks want to debate -- but. This can be a compilation of even more detailed & covering more trees -- even eventually I'm stated this way so various loadouts to consider.
Generately agreed max strategy of: I'm a MKT or Hacker or Guns or MA then sub pages with various loadouts -- how to run & optimal tips for pulling it off best. DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS (Pylat has contributed very well but as patches & abilities get modded optimal PVP combat will need to be updated).
Normally one just learns by the road of hard knocks -- and that's still needed & good. But for those that enjoy mastery level -- bring it on.
Oh, and Catzi we don't need to be more any more violent -- just encouraging a well trained unit for those interested.

I'm back baby.
since my log-on times & activities may not aways include lounging around....
e-mail me or find pylat ... if you have a need to combat training or planning to switch professions.
(someome calls out, yeah I want to work the stripper pole... ok, yeah that's a entirely different profession).
Even help with data miners (tips) (just ask, it's all good).
Any profession I'm guessing you can do without much help street vender...
You can save people time buying that "prop stuff" & try to sell virtual contraband? (j/k -- but funny role play though). setup shop in mara c -- as people walk by, whisper "psss bud, you want a dubie"
