Just thought I'd let you all know I've decided to renew my L2 acct. If any of you play this game let me know we'll hook up on it sometime.

Cool. Not sure if anyone in TTB or The Pride plays it. If there is enough support I'd be open to a lineage2 section here.

Well I thought I'd add more info about this game since I've played it and sometimes getting info from a website can be a pain, so here we go~! Lineage 2 is a fantasy based MMO with a few races to play as -- Human, High Elf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Orc. These races have two main classes Fighter and Mystic. Within those two classes it will branch off into other sub classes that will define your character as you play the game. For instance here's the classes for the human: Human Fighter --> Warrior --> Warrior Gladiator ...............................Human Knight --> Paladin Dark Avenger ...............................Rogue --> Treasure Hunter Hawk Eye Human Mystic --> Human Wizard --> Sorcerer/ss Necromancer Warlock ..............................Cleric -- > Bishop Prophet So how does this work? I'll explain. From char generation you pick whether you want to be a Mystic or fighter. Once that's done, from level 1 - 20 you'll be the general class (novice classes like general Fighter or Mystic). After level 20 they will begin to branch off more, So for instance you can choose from Warrior, Human Knight, or Rogue in the Fighter class or Human Wizard or Cleric for the Mystic class (this example is for humans only). Once you select those, you'll get skills for those classes as well as armor and weapons until level 40. After level 40's reached it branches even more. Warrior branshes off into either Gladiator or Warlord. Human Knight branches into Paladin or Dark Avenger. Rogue branches into Treasure Hunter or Hawkeye in the Fighter class. Mystic class is as follows: After Human Wizard it's Sorcerer/ss or Necromancer or Warlock. Cleric branches into Bishop and Prophet. Depending on your race those classes will be different. more info here: www.lineage2.com/guide/race_human_skill.html?my_class=human_warlordNow for the game world, every server is hostile. The reason for this is to allow large guilds the privledge of performing sieges on castles. Once a guild is in control of a land they will get a certain percent of cash bought and sold at vendors in that kingdom. They have a constant monthly schedule that happens to keep only one guild from reigning for too long. PvP is activated at level 9. The game is up to Chronicle 5. Each chronicle is like a mini-expansion which is completely free to download, or upgrade to. Every so many months a new chronicle will release and they'll add more quests, new areas to explore, more items, added story in the Lore section, ect... Plus there's the on-air DJs that do events, L2 GM and DEVs throw events, and also they do lots of holiday events. There's not shortage of stuff to do. For pet lovers they have them. You can raise wolves, dogs, and dragons. for those who are interested in the lore that page is here: www.lineage2.com/background/legends_list.html

Meh, that's not even HALF of the info. It's just the basic of the basic to get the point across without copyuing the site page-by-page.

After looking into it a bit I'd check it out. If I wasn't so turned off by magic and all things magic related right now that is. lol.

I may be stoopid, or it's just extrmely tired, but I don't exactly understand what you were trying to say there sky. o.O
Generally there is a good bit of magic, but if you don't like spell casters there's always the fighter rank. they generally have little magic beyond special attacks.

I'm just tired of magic in general Euf. Magic magic magic. Everywhere I turn it seems. hehe. If it's not Magic, it's Hackers, or Jedi types with fantastical powers, or *insert type here*. The fact that magic is going to be a common thing in AoC has me grinding my gears I'm tellin ya. I'm sure I'll get over that feeling eventually but right now the less magic the better. lol.

Thought I'd comment on L2's PvP/PK system.
They allow you to fight anyone at anytime since all the servers are PvP enabeled all the time, but in the manner of doing so there are drawbacks. If you PK too much your name will turn red and at that point players will be able to attack and kill you with no penalty, and you have a chance to drop equipment when vanquished.
The reason it's all open PvP is to accomodate monthly sieges. You can siege castles if you're in clan, and in doing so your faction will get a certain percent of all the money being exchanged in that land (right now it's 15%).
