Back in Midian Park Near The Archivist
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Valaro looked at Radomir, who had just hung up his cell and had a very strange look on his face.
"What is it?"
"There are multiple signals all over the Matrix. Sati's, International, Downtown everywhere!"
"Any ideas?"
"Your crew has picked up, the signal near International, some of my guys are heading for Sati's now"
"Forgive me rad, but I'm going to meet up with my crew, something feels off"
"OK Val stay in contact!"
Valaro hyper jumped to the ledge on the bulding above him, he picked up his cell and speed dialed 1: Eichdee.
"Dee, what the hells going on?"
"We've just come out of a meeting with the machines, there gonna...."
"Rassy's signal has duplicates! Hes appearing in multiple locations all over he matrix where are you now?"
"Midian, fed building, the crews in trouble over at International, some sort of ambush."
Valaro taking the phone away from his ear and he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, jumping and sliding past, under ventilation systems. He put the phone back to his ear
"Nearest hardline Sai Kung Central Ill meet you there! GO!"
The line dropped and Valaro speed dialed 4: Ceege. The line dialed. Dialed. Dialed. No answer. They were in trouble all right he thought. Again he speed dialed 0: Operator.
"Operator?"
"Ocelet get me a fix on there exact location coordinates to my phone immediately! I am half a mile from the nearest hardline I need you to have the phone ringing when i arrive to get to Sai Kung got that!"
"Got.."
"Valaro hung up and start running faster to-wards the hardline"
Eichdee turned to Ghost.
"Ive gotta go help the Crew. You coming with?"
"I can't! Niobe just called says she needs helps with tracking Rassy near her location. Ill go investigate that signal"
"Got it"
Eichdee dialed Operator, and then turned to the ringing hardline and answered it.... Her RSI breaking into millions of lines of code transfered through to the Sai Kung Hardline...

Karaa dodged a dim kai, which landed her assailant’s hands in the wall and retaliate with a flurry of punches into her attacker’s chest. He stumbled backwards and she used this opening to launch a triple front kick which ended the fight. Karaa looked over at Ceege; he was finishing off the last of the Cyphs with Angelis. She moved toward the window in the hallway and blew out a frustrated sigh. “Their surrounding the building.” She stated very matter of fact. “Nothing is ever easy.” She muttered. “Yeah.” Karaa looked over her shoulder to see Angelis on the phone. Better be good news, she thought. “What? How is that possible?” Karaa shook her head, no; it never is good news is it? She turned to look out the window again. “They’re entering the building. I would say there are around 20. Two different factions I would guess.” “How much time do we have?” Asked Ceege. “Few minutes at the most.” “Alright.” Angelis disconnected his phone and turned to Ceege and Karaa. “Rsy’s rsi has popped up in multiple locations across the matrix. There is a team going to sati’s playground so we don’t have to make it there.” “Not like we could at the moment.” Ceege said. Karaa nodded. “However, Rsy’s rsi is still in this building.” “What?! How is that possible? We check all the floors!” Ceege turn to glance at the elevator. “I never checked the roof.” Karaa admitted, “Valaro called and I thought we would be moving. I thought they had found Rsy and that this was a trap.” “The roof it is then.” Said Angelis. *ping* They all looked to the elevator. “Here they come.” Said Ceege. “Better use the stairs.” “They will be in there as well.” Karaa replied quickly, “either way, we’re fighting.” “Stairs.” Muttered Ceege. “Go!” shouted Angelis as the elevator arrived on the second Floor. *ping* Karaa reached the stairwell door first and pulled the door opened. It happened quickly after that. An automatic was pointed at her forehead. From there her response was a reflex. She immediately flew back. As her hands touched the floor to push her self away, her foot connected with the weapon just as it went off. The gun flew into the air as she landed in a crouch. Ceege and Angelis immediately came to stand in front of her. They used the fact that the cyph was off balance to their advantage, they opened fired just as the elevator door opened. Karaa’s head immediately snapped to the elevator. There were six individuals in the elevator all decked up in the latest weaponry. Karaa reached into her jacket and pulled on a sub machine gun and opened fire on the elevator. The group of cpyhs immediately jumped to the side avoiding the gun fire. She held the trigger, the sound of the gunfire was almost deafening. *Click Click Click* She reached to her hip pocket and slammed another clip home. The cyphs were already moving out of the elevator. Karaa stood up and pointed her gun at the advancing group. She suddenly felt pressure on her shoulder; she fell backwards into the stairwell. “Karaa, lets go!” Yelled Ceege. He started to push her up the stairs as she struggled to regain her balance. Footsteps echoed in the enclosed area. Karaa reached the top of the stairwell and threw her back against the wall next to the door. Ceege came up behind her and kicked the door open with this foot. He ran out the door and into the bright sunlight. Karaa followed and looked around for any sign of Rsy. Angelis came out of the door and turned around slamming it shut. They immediately spread out in different directions looking for any sign of Rsy. “I don’t see anything!” Karaa shouted. “He has to be here!” Came Angelis’ voice. Just then the roof door burst opened. Karaa turned to the sound her eyes widening. “No way…” she whispered.

The door was blasted opened with a powerful kick, sending away a cloud of wooden shards. From the dark entrance came out two men wearing black suits, stepping in the bright sunlight. Behind their black sunglasses, Karaa could see their expression-less eyes, cold as a block of ice. She knew the look all to well.
Agents..!
Ceege and Angelis stepped forward in defensive positions. It was hopeless, but they had no choice. Going one against one with an Agent was suicide, no man or woman alive had ever defeated one with their bare hands, and left with their lives. The only way the Zionists had found to defeat one was to use teamwork, one man to distract him enough so he wouldn't have the time to dodge the gun fire from the other one. It was still only a temporary solution, as the Agent simply took another host, and went on with the killing.
But now, they were three against two. In proportions, they were three against two hundred. Odds were not only against them, they were past them.
- This is great, Karaa hissed. - What do we do know? asked Ceege, already knowing the answer. - Run. They're faster than both you and me, Ceege, but not Karaa. We can always hold them off until she leaves. - I'm sick of always running, she complained. - And what do you want to do? Fight them?
The agents had now taken out their Desert Eagles, and were walking towards them at slow pace.
- We haven't got much time, insisted Ceege. There's nothing else we can do. Leave, Karaa. - Wait, no! I won't -- - Go now!! he practically yelled.
The agents suddenly turned around, and pointed their guns at the doorway. Several Cypherite operatives came out, weapons ready to spray death. A few cursed out loud when they saw the feds.
The Agents fired, killing a few cypherites in a matter of fractions of seconds. The remaining, still cursing, opened fire towards the suits, who dodged the shots with ease. The three Zionites quickly went prone right before the bullets hit them. The Agents quietly regained their stances once the cypherite weapons were out of ammo, and finished the job with a few additional discharges from their powerful handguns.
They both changed their magazines and holstered their weapon back under their shoulders. One of them touched his earpiece, announcing that the area was clear. The other just stood there, gazing at the distance, still as cold as ever.
Ceege, Karaa and Angelis got back on their feet, not sure what to do. Two large cracking sounds were heard behind them, making them instantly turn around. Two persons had fell knee first on the cement, causing it to crack. They got back up, and looked towards them. A man wearing a long purple coat, and a woman wearing a black raincoat over a black suit.
- Valaro! Dee! smiled Karaa, relieved. - I guess we're too late, shrugged Valaro, looking at the cypherite bodies. - You beat us to it guys, added Dee, looking at the two Agents. Good work. - Not a problem, Ms. Prévost, said one of them. The area is secure.
If someone could've described the confusion in the three zionites eyes, it would probably have taken a whole day. Dee smiled, looking towards them.
- Let's just say I had a little meeting with the machines, and they agreed to help us out on this little problem!
They still looked as confused, making the young woman chuckle. The Agent on his earpiece turned his attention to her.
- The signal of your captain is still being broadcasted here, but there is no more life signs in this building. - There is apparently eight different places he has been sighted, all over the city, replied Valaro. Even in some constructs. There is probably only one that is real. - This makes it all a lot more complicated, mumbled Dee. - Do not worry, Mr. Sanderson, Ms. Prévost. Our Agents can cover more area in a shorter time frame then you could with twice the resources. - Well, that is true, agreed EichDee. So what now? - Most of the crews are heading for Sati's playground, said Val. - And Ghost went to help out Niobe here in international, so with Pylat and Namroc's crews here too, I guess they can take care of this sector. Agents, do you think you can take care of Downtown? - We are already on it. - Great. While I was with Ghost, we got a message from Sparks; Radomir wants us to meet him over in Camon Heights. I guess he has a plan. Ghost couldn't follow, so I said I'd check it out after making sure our crew was alright. - So Camon Heights it is! grinned Valaro.
He signaled the crew to follow him, and still confused, Ceege and Angelis hyperjumped away. The Agents also left, leaving but EichDee and Karaa on the dead body-covered rooftop.
- Got news, Karaa. Agent Gray told me they were hits on Agents recently, something to do with killcodes. Both Agent Pace and Norris were hit. Thing is...
She saw Karaa shiver, as she probably knew where she was going with this.
- They both recuperated. - Awesome... - Whatever happens, we mustn't cross his way, or else he'll identify us, and it'll compromise our agreement with 01. We can't let that happen, got it? - Y - Yes... But.. What did they ask in return?
EichDee grinned, as she found what she was about to say very ironic.
- They want us to help them find out who between the exiles and the cypherites attacked their Agents, and they want us to help them dispose of the problem! - Valaro isn't going to like that! Karaa laughed out loud

At the Hardline Nearby
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Valaro landed on the ground again, turning to see Ceege and Angelis right behind him. He wondered where was Dee and Karaa. With that he turned and picked up the ringing telephone. His RSI transforming once more into millions of tiny pieces of code and transferring through the phone lines of the Matrix to his destination: Camon Heights!
Valaro appeared at the hardline and immediately drew his westeks. He wondered at the thought of his revolver, that was lost recently in a small cyph battle. It had great sentimental value. He secured the area around the hardline, and then walked over to the nearby news stand ad picked up a "Daily Sentinel". He took out his cell.
"Clear". He signaled to Angelis and Ceege.
Seconds the later they too came scrambling through the hardline and took a seat on the bench nearby. Valaro's faced showed concern as he read the paper. He turned to face the other Zionites:
"Morpheus has been seen! Somethings a miss here, he was killed 2 and a half years ago."
"Yeah Val, but we all know Morpheus has a few tricks up his sleeve. Maybe he set up the assassin to fake his own death so he wouldn't have Zion on his back anymore."
"Ceege, we would have known by now f Morpheus has faked his own death, as we would have seen him!"
"Isn't that the point of faking your own death?" Said Angelis
"I guess your right. Anyway we cant focus on this we have other things to worry about. We wait for the girls to come through then head to the meet point."
Valaro leaned against the wall awaiting his other crew mates to come through the Hardline....

Karaa landed near the phone booth and slowly walked over to it. Dee was already going through. Karaa slid into the phone booth and pickup the receiver. She went to put it to her ear and stopped. She rested her hand on the top on the payphone. Norris is alive. Her gripped tighten on the phone. “Stay away from him.” Karaa muttered Dee's words. She leaned against the wall of the phone booth and closed her eyes. Why isn’t anything easy? She was tired of running and now she had to run from him again. The hand at her side clenched into a fist. Karaa took a deep breath and then her fist came up and connected with the payphone. Pain shot up her arm and she grimaced. She left her arm outstretched; her fist was still crushed against the hard metal of the payphone. She put on a face for Dee but she hated Norris, he made her blood boil. Karaa tried to calm her emotions. She could feel her face falling into a mask of indifference. She pulled her fist back and looked at her knuckles, they were bleeding. Not real. She wiped her hand on her jeans and put the phone to her ear. She closed her eyes, Norris will get his. She would make sure of it. She rematerialized and stepped out of a similar hardline. The rest of the crew was looking at her. “What took you so long?” Karaa shrugged. “I picked up the phone when it rang, here I am.” She forced a smile. And her crew members seemed satisfied with her response. “Alright, let’s get going.” Came Valaro’s voice. Everyone nodded and followed as he hyper jumped to the nearest building. She watched as everyone took off, she was a step behind them. Norris. He will get his. One day. And for now she will just have to be content with that truth.

Another couple of loud cracks as the zionites jumped from buildings to buildings. EichDee and Angelis were leading the way, Valaro and Ceege were not far behind, but Karaa, usually the fastest, was way at the back. Looked almost as if she wanted to stay in the back. EichDee sighed. She knew Karaa didn't take the news about Norris being alive well, even though she tried hard to hide it. Dee had gone through the same thing, the same feelings; it was easy for her to understand what was going on in Karaa's mind. She knew that if this situation had happened before, back when she still hadn't made peace with her past, she probably would've cracked opened her fist on a concrete wall. One day she will learn to get through this.
She looked back at her cell phones. Coordinates were inscribed on the small screen, indicating they had reached their destination. Northern Camon Heights, not far from a signal booster satelite. The zionites stopped their jumping on the same building, and looked around. No Radomir in sight.
- Where is he? asked Ceege, getting a bit nervous. - Well he's not here for sure, confirmed Valaro. Dee, you sure this is the place? - Sure. He told me to meet him here. I'm going to try something else.
She composed a number on her phone, and put it to her ear.
- Operator. - Ocelet, can you track Radomir for me? - Sure, I'll get back to you in a second. Stay on the line.
Karaa finally landed beside them, an expressionless face Dee knew too well. When she noticed her staring, she took back her normal face, giving Dee a "what's wrong?" look.
- Where's Radomir? she asked. - Not here, apparently, answered Angelis. - We're tracking him, said Valaro. - What do you mean, he's not there?! practically yelled Dee.
All eyes turned to her. They were probably already guessing the following conversation.
- I'm sorry Dee, continued Ocelet. I just can't find him! - So I guess we have the Cheeta's captain AND first mate to worry about now.
She hung up the phone, getting annoyed at the situation. Patience, Dee, patience. She took a few breaths and regained her stature. Ceege broke the short silence.
- So what do we do now? - Well... began Valaro. The rest of the Cheeta's crew still needs help in Sati's Playground. Namroc is heading there too. They probably already entered the construct. We should help them out. - Agreed, Angelis simply said. - We can't just barge in there like that... pointed Karaa. You said there's like... tons of exile in there. We're not properly armed! - I've got that covered, smiled Dee.
She quickly took back her phone, and dialed the Operator's number again.
- Operator. - It's Dee again. Listen, we decided we're going to go kick a few exile butts in Sati's. We're near a Sattelite Signal Booster, think you can give us a few toys? - That's the part I like about this job!

Valaro turned and walked over to the buildings ledge and placed both hands on the cement. He looked around.
"Ceege come here a sec."
Ceege looked at everyone with a quick glance as if to say "Why me?". He walked to Valaro, who had an all to familiar look on his face.
"What's your gut feeling telling you this time?"
"I have a bad feeling about something. When we were on our way over here I saw some Exile Gang gathered together in a big clump. Do me a favour and go check it out, but keep your distance."
"Roger that, Ill see what it is then make my way towards Sati's."
"No, not right away! Well head to the construct I want you to use your well placed contacts around the Matrix see if we cant get some info on these multiple signals, or a location of Radomir at any point."
"OK."
"There's an old safe house that I used to use when I was on The Catzi's Kittens, ill get her Operator to send you the info. Head there and use it as a base of operations got it?"
"No problem ill be in touch."
Ceege immediately turned and jumped 30 ft into the air towards the next building and the Exiles. Disappearing very quickly. Karaa was silent and staring at the sky both her fists clenched! Angelis was leaning against the wall looking at his PDA which was scanning the building for an RSI residue. Dee turned to look at Valaro.
"What's on your mind?"
"Something is amiss. Radomir can hold his own against a gang of Exiles, and yet it appears he's gone out of the Matrix and were in full contact with his ship. Then there's Rassy. What was he on to that got him so messed up! Dee well..."
Valaro's cell phone rang.
"That will be Ceege" Said Dee.
Valaro shook his head and showed the call screen to Eichdee. It read "Unknown Number". He pressed the Loud speaker button.
"Who is this?" said Valaro Sharply.
"It does not matter who this is" said a smooth European accent down the telephone.
"Then why have you called me?"
"They say you have abilities far beyond that of any Red Pill."
"OK lets drop the Biography act here an get to business. what do you want?"
"You are looking for a Red Pill Operative that goes by the name of Radomir yes?"
"Radomir. Hmm I'm sorry I don't know any operative with that name"
"If you want him you can retrieve him from that group of Exiles your friend is watching. Provided of course they don't kill you all as they did your friend yes?"
Valaro's eyes meet with Dee's who went wide! She instantly picked up the phone and dialled the Tiger.
"Where's Ceege?"
"He didn't put of much of a fight i must say. Perhaps your own First Mate could be better? One more powerful? Able to defend you and your crew"
Dee nodded her head to Valaro signalling that he was not taking about Ceege. Valaro smashed his hand down on the cement ledge! The man on the other end of the phone was still talking, when he closed the slide on his cell. He dialled Ceege's Cell phone.
"Where are you?"
"On my way back. He's dead Val"
"We know. Go back to the hardline and get in touch with another HvCFT tell them to recover the body! Then continue with your mission Operative!"
He again hung up the cell and turned to the rest of the Crew.
"I'm going to see The Oracle. The rest of you gear up and go to Sati's, Ill meet you there!"
"Val you cant be angry at...."
"I DIDN'T ASK FOR TWENTY QUESTIONS! NOW OPERATIVES MOVE OUT!"
Valaro flipped backwards and off the building to the ground below and began making his way towards Mara, to consult with the Oracle....

The space around them rematerialized, distorting the city into a blank light-ish blue space, similar to the loading program they were used to. In the center of the construct was a miniature city of about ten twenty-stories high buildings. The structure and architecture was reminiscent of Richland. Cars were also laying around in a disorderly manner, some even in the blank parts of the construct. Around the small city were little island of cement and brick, about five meters long, wide and high. Little cubes on which a single tree grew on them.
EichDee whistled. She had never seen Sati's playground before, but now she understood why they called the construct like that. Looked like a doll version of the city. Angelis, Karaa and herself were standing beside a tree on one of the island. The small city was about three hundred meters to the north, with the sea of blankness between them. The archivist who had helped them get him cleared his throat.
- This is it, he said. - Thank you, replied Dee. Think you could wait for us here? If we're not back in an hour, leave and contact the fleet. - All right. Best of luck, Ms. EichDee.
She then turned to her friends. The trio was now fully equipped; Dee had her ballistic vest on, and equipped with an FN P90 submachine gun and her usual P99 handgun; Angelis had chosen a fully automatic SPAS-12, along with dual Mac-11 subs. And Karaa... well...
- In all honesty, Karaa... began Dee, raising an eyebrow and smiling. I didn't think you had it in you! - What..?!
Karaa, usually the fastest member of the team, the one who most of the time resorted to tactics and martial arts, was now over equipped with weapons. An M4CQB assault rifle, two pairs of Beretta 92FS handguns, a pair of micro uzis, a Benelli M3 combat shotgun on her back, and a few frag grenades. She looked almost like a perversion of herself, which caused EichDee to chuckle a little.
- You wanted to go a little Rambo, hun? she smiled. - Well, what? I gotta try doing your thing at least once, don't you think? - Haha, I agree. You'll like it! - Not that I wish to interrupt, said Angelis calmly. But we still have a matter at hand. - Right. Let's go.
The trio jumped away, and in four jumps, they had made it to the streets. They were very unsettlingly calm, for a place supposed to be under attack.
- I don't like this, said Angelis. - Me neither, approved the First Mate of the Tiger. Stay on your guard.
They advanced with precaution in a military formation, with Dee leading and Angelis closing the walk, keeping an eye on their six. With her eye looking straight through her P90's red dot sight, they kept walking, carefully checking every building corners and streets until they reached the center of the doll city. It seemed like a mini plaza, similar to ones frequently seen in the Matrix. They lowered their weapons.
- There's no one here, said Karaa. - What's going on? thought Dee out loud. - Maybe I can explain it to you, cave crawler! said an unknown voice.
They all looked up, weapons aimed towards the voice. On top of a small building nearby were standing three men wearing brown leather. They had dark skin, dark hair, and their nails were long, almost like... Claws.
- Lupines, she said to her friends.
The three men jumped down, and walked towards them, weapons still pointed at their heads. The main one was wearing a long trench coat, and he had many scars.
- You know, he began. When Ookami told me Zion were sending reinforcements, I had expected more than two women and a... ghost. - Oh don't worry, we're still able to kick your ass! grinned Dee. We took the precaution of loading our weapons with silver bullets. - Haha, well played. But I don't think you understand the situation properly. - Then why don't you educate us? - Very well, he replied after a short pause.
Several more exiles fell down from the other buildings. A lot more. In less than five seconds, the crew was now surrounded by nearly thirty exiles; Lupines, Vampires, Succubus's, Nightmares, you name it. The three zionite didn't knew where to aim anymore, changing target every second. The exiles soon made a circle around them.
- Don't worry, said the exile leader. Killing you lot like this wouldn't be fun at all. - Where is Rassy?! spit Dee. - Haa, your Zion captain, yes. I heard is first mate was just killed?
Angelis took aim at his head and would've pressed the trigger if Dee hadn't told him to stand down. Shooting now would only result in them being killed, along with a few exiles. Let's see where this goes.
- What do you want? she asked. - We'll play a little game, all right? You win, we give you back your captain. You lose... well, I guess you know what that means. - So Rassy really is here? asked Karaa. - Oh, well that's another thing. It's part of the game. You won't know for sure until you win. - What if we don't give a damn about your game? hissed Angelis. - That would be unfortunate. Boys!
They turned around as more exiled approached. But they didn't like what they saw. Not at all. The ten new exiles were bringing more or less the same number of hostages; the crews of the Cheetah and Namroc. They all looked pretty beat up, and Nam glanced at Dee for a moment.
- You see, continued the exile. They didn't care for our game neither. Sad. Now either you play, or we execute them, here and now.
The trio looked at each other, and they finally lowered their weapons.
- All right, we'll play along. - Good!
The exile raised his hand, and two more vampires appeared, carrying a box. A very, very familiar-looking box.
- Aw, crap, cursed Dee. - A Pandora's box... confirmed Angelis. - This is not good, Karaa mumbled. - Then I suppose you know what the game will be! smiled the exile, clapping his hands once. This is a very special Pandora's box, though. It can only be used here, in this construct. Rules are simple: Defeat every wave of opponents the box as to offer, and you get a chance at getting your captain back.
The vampires put the box on the ground, and opened it. At first nothing happened, but they all knew how it went. Soon, large green sparks of electricity appeared, and three enemies came out of it. They were wearing a black gi, a black mask, and had a katana on their back.
- Great... chuckled Angelis. - Useless to say, these ninjas are more powerful than any of us, here in this construct, grinned the exile. This is their playground, the personal toys of Sati. They are Gods here. You fought against Agents; this will be similar. Let's see how you do in one on one combat.
The ninjas each took a target, unsheathing their swords, meaning the trio would have to seperate and fight their individual confrontation. Dee shrugged.
- Karaa, I might need some of those frag grenades, in the end.

Karaa smiled and almost laughed. Three??? THREE? She reached behind her and grabbed a frag that was hanging off her hip. The box was designed to divide and conquer. She looked over at Dee who was going after the one in the middle and Angelis was lining up to go after the one on the far left. This wasn’t going to work. She took a deep breath; she would have to time her actions perfectly if she wanted to get herself and her crewmates out of this in one piece. “Karaa, I might need one of those Frags, in the end.” Dee’s voice was almost comical yet Karaa could tell she was serious. Karaa smirked. She didn’t bring enough weaponry for something like this. She began to shift her weight as if she was going to go after the one in front of her. The ninja almost looked like he was smiling. The Frag was heavy in her hands. “One Mississippi, two Mississippi...” She whispered. Dee looked over at her confused then saw the live Frag in Karaa’s hand and smirked. This wouldn’t be enough to kill them but it would knock them off balance. Giving them time to get close enough to do some damage. Karaa’s whole body was tense yet she was strangely giddy. “Three Mississippi.” She said as she threw the frag at their opponents. They didn’t have time to dodge; the frag went off immediately right in front of them. Karaa threw her arms over head and bent her knees to try to protect herself from the explosion. The ground shook. Karaa looked up and immediately threw her body into motion. She didn’t give them a chance to recover. Karaa launched herself forward not waiting for the smoke to dissipate. The one on the right was hunched over, before he could even look up; Karaa’s fist was connecting with his chin for an upper cut. Movement in Karaa’s peripheral vision forced her to turn her head away from her opponent. One of the other Ninjas was lashing out towards her with his katana. The blade passed in front of karaa just missing her. The attacks came quickly after that. Karaa was able to dodge them for the most part, once again thankful for her speed. She chanced a glance at the other ninja lying on the ground, he wasn’t there anymore. Shit. She saw a flash of metal and flipped backwards landing in a crouch in the middle of the street. Her hand flew to her face, she was bleeding. Damnit. But she didn’t have time to look at her wound, hearing a swooshing noise from above, karaa looked up, the Ninja from earlier was falling towards her, she rolled out of the way just as he landed cracking the cement. This was intense. Worse then any of Aaroun’s training simulations and Karaa didn’t think that was possible. “AHHH!” Karaa’s head snapped up as her hand went over her shoulder to grab her shotgun. The other ninja was flying towards her with blade drawn. Karaa opened fire on him which seemed to slow him down marginally. Something hard connected with her legs and she fell on to her back. The Ninja next to her was raising his sword to finish the job as Karaa cocked the gun and fired again. He stumbled back against a lamppost. Where the hell was Dee? Karaa didn’t have time to react as a blade plunged itself into her shoulder. She screamed in pain and pointed her shotgun up at the enraged ninja. Karaa squeezed the trigger and the round hit the assailant but it didn’t seem to faze him as much as the last time. “I believe I’m your opponent.” Dee’s voice was hard and angry as she grabbed the ninja and threw him to the ground. Karaa nodded her thanks and pulled the Katana from her shoulder. A cry escaped her lips unwilling. God, it hurt. She turned her attention back to the ninja at the lamppost and once again he was missing. Great.

At the same time back in Mara
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Valaro walked into the apartment building. He walked up several flights of stairs with haste heading toward the most well known program in the Matrix. The Oracle. He reached the door way to her apartment, knocked once and waited. Generally Seraph would have answered by the time the door knocked. He opened the door and entered. The apartment was dark.
"Where are you?" he whispered
He then picked up his cell phone and dialled Eichdees Cell.
"Bleeeeeeep"
Eichdee jumped through the air and landed a kick to the skull of the Pandora's Box spawn. She then grabbed the ninja nearby saying
"I believe I'm your opponent!" with a smile on her face
"Bleeeeeeep"
She dropped a frag grenade and launched several bullets at the assailants while cartwheeling further away! She spun around to a crouch taking another shot, and picking up her cell!
"Make it quick no time to talk!"
"I cant find her im on my way to Sati's to help you guys now. Wait a second someones following me. Scratch that im sending someone else in. Stay alive do you understand! THATS AN ORDER!"
"Roger"
Dee slammed the phone down and ran at her enemies again taking the offensive. Meanwhile Valaro started running towards a nearby safe house that he had told Ceege to go to, he glanced behind him to see a man wearing bandages around his face and a long black trench coat. This startled him a little as he turned and started running as fast as he could, he jumped 60ft into the air towards Tabour tower. He was only 2 blocks away, the safe house over looked Tabour's near by hardline. He picked up his cell again
"Ceege Code 3, be prepared im...."
His cell phone dropped as a bullet from his stalker hit the phone making it useless. Valaro looked back, the stalker was getting closer. he was a few rooftops away from the safe house. He jumped high into the air heading towards the rooftop when he felt a kick to his ribs! He fell out of the air, falling towards a section in between two buildings, he quickly grabbed the ledge and flung himself back up onto the rooftop, grabbing his ribs he gasped and looked up. The person was standing over him.
"Were are you going?"
Valaro stunned by the sheer audacity of the question looked at him with a curious look, blood spilling from his mouth. He went to answer
"I've been following you for about a half hour now. Why?"
Valaro now wondering if this person was crazy stood up, but fell back onto the ledge.
"What are you talking about? Who are you?"
The person seemed to twitch rather violently.
"Ill ask he questions around here".
"OK. I don't know why you've been following me".
"I know why I have been following you, what do you think I am stupid?"
Valaro could not believe his ears. Was this person trying to mess with his mind. He glanced behind him, seeing Ceege coming up towards him.
"Deletion Inevitable"
Valaro smiled.
"Indeed it is"
The person turned suddenly to face Ceege. Ceege utterly stunned had no time to react, the man grabbed his .50 Deagle and thrusting his hand into Ceege's chest, sending him flying backwards into the concrete. Valaro fell back off the ledge, and landed on the street below, looking up he saw the stalker looking down at him. Time slowed down. He dodged several of the Desert Eagle .50 calibre bullets raining down on top of him. Quickly he turned and crashed through the door behind him, he started running towards the exit on the other side, he looked back to see... No one. Puzzled he went outside and jumped to a nearby rooftop to get a view in Ceege. He ducked behind a small garden patch to see Ceege, jumping away from the masked man. He then jumped down to the street below and entered a bar and went to the payphone and dialled the Operator.
"Whats the status of Ceege?"
"Hes OK he has a few bruises but he seems to have gotten away form that guy"
"What does the code say?"
"Not sure its encrypted but he seems to be heading towards the Machine Archivist broker."
"Think hes heading for Sati's?"
"Maybe"
"OK im going to the hardline to get geared up this is messy, see if you cant get more info on that thing"
"Roger ill be waiting, ill tell Ceege your OK and tell him to do the same"
"Hows the fight in the Construct going?"
"There holding out, but taking heavy damage they wont last long Val. I got in touch with the Lion, there sending aid."
"Roger that. Tell Ceege to wait for me inside the weapons program"
Valaro hung up his Cell and began making his way towards the nearby hardline.

"Meet Valaro inside the weapons program"
"Ok Ocelet, I'm near the machine archivist's line, can you hack it so I don't need to run to another hardline, I don't fancy running into that bandage head again, who the hell was that?" Ceege asked.
"I'm not sure, his signal was like nothing I've seen before but anyway yeah I might be able to, he's not going to be fond of a Zionite just walking in to use his phone though."
"Don't worry" Ceege said, a slight smile on his face, "I've got backup" he said as he unclipped the safety on his Beretta.
What a day this was turning out to be, he thought. Seems every major mission with the Pride was full of strange turns, but he wasn't complaining. Pride was now family, closer than any he'd every had since his parents in the real, who weren't really parents at all, just strangers in a tub of goo somewhere on the surface. His thoughts turned to Radomir. He saw him, lying there, not moving, surrounded by exiles. Dead. No. God no. Radomir was a good friend, him and Ceege would never miss an opportunity to hit up a club together inside The Matrix. His hand gripped his Berreta tighter as he kicked open the archivist's front door.
"Excuse me but I don't serve your kind.." the man began to argue.
Ceege fired a couple of shots at the till register which burst open throwing some dollar bills and coins over the store.
"All I need is to use your phone please" Ceege ordered as he stared right into the eyes of the now cowering Archivist.
"It...it's right there" he stuttered.
Ceege took out his cell. "Ready Ocelet".
"Ready Ceege"
The phone rang. Ceege picked up and his RSI disappeared leaving behind a green glow and a mess for the broker to clean up.
"Damn Zionites.." the archivist muttered under his breath as he started picking up the loose change.
When Ceege next opened his eyes he was inside the all too familiar white room surrounded by endless racks of weaponry.
"Ceege, I'm glad you got away" he heard Valaro say behind him.
He spun to see his captain already selecting several weapons from the shelves.
"Same for you captain" he nodded.
"Let's get loaded up, our friends need our help" said Valaro.
Ceege turned and opened his white trench to start filling his holsters with weaponry. His mind was still on Radomir and then to the other members of Tiger. He couldn't, wouldn't, let their fate be the same as Radomir's.
A minute later they were both ready. One good thing about the Matrix is no matter how much metal you have weighing you down, it doesn't exist, so therefore is lighter than a feather inside the system. Valaro closed his purple trench over his new selected weapons, his matching purple hair hanging over the rifle on his back. Ceege adjusted his glasses as Valaro pulled out his cell.
"Ocelet, send us to the hardline by the Zion archivist, we're ready."
"Roger captain, fasten your seatbelts."
The endless white room had changed to a sprawl of close brick buildings and small parks. Ceege looked around for any sign of trouble.
"All clear" he turned to his captain.
"Let's go"
As they walked towards the Zion archivist Ceege could have sworn he saw the same bandaged man staring down at them from a nearby building, but as he went to pull out his Beretta the bloody bandaged face with his black trench had gone. "Paranoid", Ceege thought to himself as they walked through the back door of their intended destination, Valaro leading the way as Ceege had one more glance back. Nothing.

Karaa threw her back against the alley wall and took a deep breath. She took out her handguns and checked her ammo. Not much left. She had already gone through most of the frags and she lost the shotgun a while back. She had used it as a blunt object when it ran out of ammo. They had survived more waves than she thought they would have but things were getting desperate now. With an 'oof' Dee landed next to Karaa, back against the wall. “How we doing Kar?” She asked breathlessly. “Better than I thought we would. Two frags, one micro uzi, handful of handgun ammo and the assault riffle still has two magazines.” Dee let out a short breath, “That good huh?” Karaa smiled and shook her head. Angelis Landed beside Dee, pressing his back against the wall. “How many more waves left, you think?” He asked. “We’re at the end now. We just have to survive a few more.” Answered Dee. “That’s not our only problem” interjected Karaa. “After we finished this” Karaa stressed this part, they would make it through this box, “we have to worry about the lupines, they are not necessarily ones to keep their word, we are going to have to fight them too if we want to get everyone back.” The sound of footsteps rang around them. “New wave.” Whispered Angelis. “I have a plan.” Karaa whispered back. She unhooked the frags from her belt and handed them over to Angelis and then moved to give Dee the micro uzi . Dee stopped her, “What are you doing?” “For this plan to work, we need them all in one spot.” Dee immediately started shaking her head, “No, bad plan.” “Whats going on?” Asked Angelis. “Karaa wants to play bait.” Said Dee harshly. “No.” said Angelis in agreement. “Listen, I’m the fastest one here, it will work. We just have to get them close enough so we can get as many with the frags as possible.” Karaa could see Angelis and Dee were thinking it over. “We’re getting tired, we can’t last much longer. This will work. Trust me.” Dee hesitated then nodded, “You are the strategist or something.” Karaa smirked, “yeah or something.” “I don’t like this. Your last strategy, you fell over that bench back there.” Karaa frowned. Both Angelis and Dee covered their mouths trying to muffle their laughter. The foot steps were closer now. They were searching for them. Karaa glanced around the corner. “There is an enclosed courtyard few blocks down, I’ll bring them there.” Her crewmates nodded. “We’ll be there.” With that Dee and Angelis jumped on the roof above them and disappeared. Karaa could hear the stalkers mumblings now. She had to get all of them in that courtyard. Her arm throbbed and she glanced down. It still hadn’t stopped bleeding, she sighed. Karaa chanced one more glance around the corner then took a deep breath and pushed off the alley wall.

From the top of one of the buildings surrounding the small courtyard, Dee and Angelis were eagerly waiting for Karaa to arrive. This was a bold plan, borderline foolish. But the young woman had to admit Karaa was right; they didn't have any resources left to fight them. Their weapons were mostly out of ammo, their melee skills were outclassed by their opponents who wielded katana blades and had superior strength and speed. All they had left was one lousy micro uzi, and a frag grenade. And all three Tiger crew members were hurt pretty badly. Karaa busted out of an alleyway, the four remaining ninjas in close pursuit. Karaa seemed to have taken a few more katana hits; she now had more cuts over her torso and arms. She was incredibly fast for a human, true, but like the exile had said, those programs were far superior in this construct. Dee felt a drop of sweat fall down her forehead. The timing had to be precise. That one grenade had to do the trick, otherwise she honestly did not know what they could improvise next. And Karaa was right on another thing; once they defeated the Pandora's Box, they still had the forty something exiles - who were weaker then the ninjas, but still stronger than the zionites - to worry about. It really seemed like they were in trouble. Karaa stopped her race as she faced the wall of the building Dee and Angelis were on. She laid her back on it, out of breath. The four opponents also slowed down, raising their katanas as they were preparing for the final strike. She was backed into a corner all right. The first one swung his blade horizontally, Karaa crouching at the last second. As she dodged the hit, she sent a powerful kick to his abdomen, sending him back a bit. As he recovered, the four ninjas attacked at once. - This is it, said Dee. Angelis, go! He pulled the pin from the grenade, sending the lever flying off, and dropped it down bellow. Karaa hyper jumped to dodge the blows, and caught the grenade falling in mid air. With a smirk on her face, she threw it down with all of her strength at her opponents bellow. As it landed hard on one of the ninjas head, it blew up, sending a shockwave that sent Karaa flying up to the rooftop, where Angelis caught her. She sat down, and let a huge sigh of relief escape her mouth as she fell on her back, arms spread out. Then she chuckled a bit. - Seems it was the last wave, said EichDee, looking afar. There doesn't seem to be anything more popping out of the box. - That was like, what, seven waves?! laughed Karaa. - Indeed, added Angelis. - That was quite a stunt there, Karaa. - Yeah... I'm getting too old for this! As they chuckled a few seconds, hands clapping could be heard. They quickly turned their head towards the position, Dee aiming her micro uzi and Karaa getting back up. The exile with the trench coat was a few meters away, applauding the three soldiers. - Bravo! You are truly wonderful! I honestly did not expect you to make it out alive! - I'll take that as a compliment, smirked Dee. - But of course! Remarkable work for cave crawlers such as you! Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Phellan, one of the many lupine leaders in the system. - Phellan, huh. You seem a lot more... civilized than the other lupines I've met. - Can we have our friends back now?! intervened Karaa. - Straight to the point as always, huh? He put his hands into his pockets and took out a small electronic device. With a smile, he threw it at their feet. The device was metallic, barely an inch long, and very thin. For all they knew, it could've very well have been a jacket pin. - What is it? asked Angelis. - That is your captain Rassy, at least, the one here in Sati's playground. - It's an RSI synthesizer... theorized Dee. - Something like that, Phellan simply said. - No wonder we never found anything back then, said Angelis. It's so small it could've been hidden in a crack in the wall. - Yeah... sighed Dee. So where is Rassy then, Phellan? - Ah, that is yet another game, Miss EichDee. I am not supposed to speak of this, but each of these synthesizers contain a small code fragment of the location of your captain. Get them all, you learn where he is. I should warn you though, some of them have not yet been activated. - Damn... We located eight, but that could mean there is a lot more of them. - Indeed, approved Angelis. - Who is behind it? asked Dee. The Frenchman? Or is it Veil? Why kidnap one of Zion's captain and make a game out of it?! - I'm afraid I cannot tell you this at the moment, he grinned back. It is also part of the game. - Then we should get out of here as soon as possible, said Karaa. We're taking Namroc's crew with us. - Hep hep hep! said Phellan, raising a finger. That wasn't part of our agreement. - What?! choked Dee. - Our agreement was that you would get your captain back if you defeated the box. You did, and you got your captain back. Nothing was said of the crew we have captive. They will remain our prisoners. - I don't think so, threatened Angelis. A dozen exiles landed around them. Phellan clicked his tongue. - I am a man of my word. If you wanted them back, you should've told me! We would have made modifications. But you didn't so you don't get them back. - We're not leaving without them, even if that means we have to go through all of you. As the exiles pushed towards them in a circle, Dee, Angelis and Karaa were soon surrounded. As they weren't all lupines, the silver bullets-loaded micro uzi wouldn't be of much help. As they were about to attack, a new voice was heard from high above. - Dee, Angelis, Karaa, get out of the way!! Without thinking, they jumped over their assailants - who were busy looking up - and hid behind the small door access. As they looked up, they saw a rocket being fired from an RPG-1 launcher, sending the roof of the building off in flames. The floor crumbled, and soon the whole building started to fall apart. The trio jumped back down into the small courtyard bellow. As they watched the remains of the edifice go up in flames, another man landed beside them, dropping the RPG's body on the ground. The man had dark skin, cornrows, and was wearing a light brown leather jacket. He grinned to the grew. - Clep!! exclaimed EichDee, smiling with all her teeth. - Nice to see you, guys, he said, giving his hand to Angelis. Ascl3pius was a crew member of Pylat's HoverCraft, the Lion. His name was usually thought of being too complex and technical to be actually used, so people simply called him Clep. He had an attitude at times, but he was a good man, and a good friend of anyone in Pride. - Wh-What are you doing here?! Dee asked. - Well Pylat thought you might need some assistance in Sati's so... here I am! - It's great to see you, Clep, said Karaa. But you missed most of the fun! - I'm sure I did! - We've got to hurry, if we are to rescue Namroc's crew, said Angelis. - Right. Let's go. They rushed off, running away from the courtyard into the small alleyway Karaa had used to get there. Gunshots were heard ahead, making the team worried. I hope they're okay. As they arrived back into the plaza, they saw Valaro and Ceege fighting the exiles there, guns blazing. Namroc's crew was fighting alongside them. - Dee! said Valaro, as he left the battle for a moment, rejoining the little team. - Captain! You finally made it! - Yeah, sorry I was delayed. I couldn't find her. I did find something else though. - Fill us in later, for now, let's finish this battle and get back to the simulation. - Sure thing, he smilled, handing her another fully loaded P90. * * * He pushed the rubble away from him and got out of the remains of the building. The air was very hot, due to the numerous fires around him. As he groomed the dust off his coat, Phellan grinned with his sharp teeth. - This is not over just yet. ((indeed, Phellan! I just made the RP THAT much longuer ))

Karaa looked out onto the brawl that was going on in front of them. Thank God, was all she could think. Thank goodness that they got back up. Things were getting hairy back there and she was running out of ideas. Karaa’s whole body ached. She looked down at herself and saw that her clothes were covered in blood. Dee and Angelis looked similar. Angelis bought her out of her musings. “You ok, Kar?” “Great. Good catch back there.” Karaa smiled. Angelis nodded. Karaa tried to listen to what Valero was saying but found it hard to focus. “Yeah, sorry I was delayed. I couldn't find her. I did find something else though”. “Fill us in later, for now, let's finish this battle and get back to the simulation.” “Sure thing,” Valaro was handing Dee a P90. EichDee turned and smiled at Karaa holding up her new fully loaded gun. “Let’s go Karaa!” Karaa smirked and fell in behind EichDee as she led the charge into the fray. “Karaa!” Ceege ran over and held out a submachine gun. “Thanks Ceege!” Karaa took the gun and smiled. It was good to have a fully loaded weapon; she now understood EichDee’s excitement. Ceege frowned. “You look like hell.” “Well you were late so I had to improvise!” Ceege chuckled and then said, “oh no.” “Hey! My plans work!” Angelis was behind her laughing. She was about to turn around and shut him up when she heard Valaro’s voice over the sound of the scuffle. “Hey, team lets go!” Yelled Valaro. “Yeah, we’re coming.” grumbled Karaa. Angelis and Ceege smiled then disappeared into the ocean of clashing bodies. Karaa shook her head. The pride was truly unique. No other faction would have been able to survive what they had survived. Karaa smiled and was about to throw herself into the battle when her movement forward was stopped by her arm being pulled back. She tensed as her back came into to contact with another body. She made to move and cold metal pressed into the back of her head. “Now now girlie, that would not be smart on your part.” The man whispered into her ear. His voice sounded familiar. Karaa tried to push away but he held her tighter and pushed the metal tip of the gun harder into the back of her head. “What did I say, Chickie?” He said harshly. Karaa recognized his voice now. He was the cyph working with Agent Norris. Shit. She looked out over the battle; everyone was engrossed in the fight and didn’t see what was happening behind them. “You and I have unfinished business, girlie. Don’t say that you forgot.” He started to pull her back with him as he took slow steps away from the battle. Karaa stayed quiet hopping he would make a mistake. She looked up and to her surprised her eyes locked with someone she didn’t expect to see in this construct. Karaa hadn’t seen him earlier when she scanned the crowd. Aaroun. He mouthed her name and began pushing people aside. Karaa started to drag her feet but her captor would have none of it. “No No Chickie, Faster please.” “I don’t think we’ve been formally introduced.” Karaa began trying to stall for time. She could feel her attacker smirk from behind her. “Caius.” Karaa began moving through different strategies in her head but none seemed to give her the assurance of keeping her head. His grip was too tight and his handle of the gun was that of a professional. She had heard of Caius, he was the right hand man to a faction leader known as ace. Though Ace had lost his life at the hand of Valaro. Caius was known for his ability to adapt to any situation to assure that he made it out alive. He began to slowly turn her so that she walking forward now. She saw Aaroun stumble free of the crowd out of her peripheral vision. Her captor’s demeanor changed immediately. Caius’s head snapped around. “Tsk Tsk. I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” He whipped Karaa around to face Aaroun. The gun that was at the back of her head moved to her temple. “Disappear or she’ll take a bullet.” Caius looked down at Karaa, “Your not even fast enough to dodge this Chickie.” Aaroun smirked, “You don’t think I could stop you before you pulled that trigger? You don’t think I could take you apart piece by piece before your brain told your finger to squeeze?” Red code gathered at the tips of Aaroun’s fingers, he just needed an opening. Caius smile didn’t waiver. “I will walk out of here. You can not stop me.” Caius stressed these last words. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EichDee glanced around the crowd for a second time. The battle was slowly starting to fade but there was still a few exiles giving fight. Ceege walked up next to her, “Just about done.” “Have you seen Karaa?” “No” Ceege answered slowly. EichDee began to look through the crowd more carefully now. Her gut twisted when she realized where her crewmate was.
((sorry its kinda long lol, i was avoiding work yet again. = p ))
