Oooh Taris. Got the feeling it'll be a graveyard planet, lots of ruined, destroyed buildings, filled with scavengers, etc. They're piling up quite a long list of planets, it's impressive.
And Tatooine Again?! Haven't we seen every single corner of that damned little planet? What new stuff can they possibly bring around?

Ok, so new controversial trailer about Revan was released www.swtor.com/info/holonet/timeline/jedi-civil-warIn this trailer, it states that both Revan and Malak left known space after the battle of Malachor V, and met with the true Sith. When they returned, they were working as agents of the true Sith Empire. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not what we learned in KotOR / TSL at all . What we know happened, is that before the Malachor battle, Revan and Malak found the Trayus academy on the surface of the planet, and were confronted with Darth Traya. They were told about the True Sith Empire, and how they would eventually come back to known space. They spent months in the Academy's library researching the subject, until Revan understood that the only way to prevent them from conquering the galaxy in the future was to conquer it himself, to prepare for their arrival. This is why Revan always only conquered planets that were on the outer rim, and never went into the heart of the galaxy. He was building a stronghold, a line of defence against the future invaders. Of course the Republic and the Jedi never would've agreed with him, so he had to fall to the darkside and become Darth Revan. Become a necessary evil to prepare for a greater one to come. He had the Shadow Mass Generator built into Malachor V's core, so that he could end this war against the mandalorians swiftly - he had no time to lose with them, he had to prepare for the Sith. In a controversial battle, Revan ended the mandalorian wars and left with Malak for a few months in search of the Star Forge, which would help them build their armada. Revan knew the Star Forge was a Sith artifact, and he understood the danger of the station - he couldn't allow himself to fall too far into the darkside, otherwise he would lose sight of what was really important, a mistake Malak did. He stayed too long on the Forge, and eventually fell too deep, and began having a lust of power. He wanted more, and so eventually he tried to kill Revan - and he mostly succeed. From there, Malak started to destroy and conquer random worlds, with no strategy at all, unlike Revan before him. Now, this new video throws all this out of the window by putting Revan into the same shoes as Malak. They say that Revan and Malak looked for the Star Forge on behalf of the Sith Empire, and that they started to conquer the galaxy for them, until they eventually both gained the lust for more power, leading to Malak's treason. Am I the only one really bugged by this? They just threw everything that made Revan awesome out of the airlock (so to speak xD), and instead just hopped on the quick and easy explanation of "no no no, he was evil all along".

Yeah kind of weak... In other news the new E3 trailer dropped today: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpcpdEB_KOQ&feature=player_embeddedI did not embed using the youtube feature since the screen was to small and some goofy ass advertisement embedded with it.

I just watched the Revan Trailer!!!! UGH!!! I totally agree with you, Dee. I feel cheated. But on a happier note...the new E3 trailer was awesome!!! Thanks for posting the link K9!! Talking about E3 though (even if it's unrelated to the actual topic, ahem =P), who watched the conferences? I think Nintendo had the best one - even if Miyamoto had trouble with his Zelda demo xD. Lots of cool stuff was shown, such as the already mentioned new Zelda game, glorious return of Donkey Kong Country on modern consoles, more footage on Metroid Other M, and of course the cherry on the sunday; the remake of GoldenEye 007 (best fps game evahhh). I'm not expecting anything near as memorable as the original, but I'm sure it'll be kick-ass nostalgia =) Sony's conference sucked, to be honest. Nothing good was shown, and they kept going on about that whole Wii-mote -- huh, I mean PS move project, and how it's "new, unexplored, and the future of gaming", even though it's an exact replica of the Wii motion control. No game worth mentioning was shown, so I'm not looking forward to the next year on PS3. Microsoft's one was decent enough, with Halo: Reach's campaign revealed and of course the first-time ever footage of Metal Gear Rising - which looks just plain nuts; I mean, I can literally cut anything, and choose how to cut it?! Wooaaaahh!!! xD I'm not really that impressed with Kinect (project Natal) though, especially the fact that they used people to "pretend" that they were actually using the thing, while they were just trying to mimic the on-screen footage - completely off-sync, might I add. Makes me feel like this will be a flawed product. Even the first gameplay trailer of that new kinect Star Wars game left a "meh" taste in my mouth. We all wanted at some point a motion control Jedi game, where you could actually swing the blade the way you wanted, but this "rail-slasher" game looks... well... "meh" is the word xD. Anyway, that's my little review of E3. If you missed them yesterday and wanna check out the full conferences, head over to gametrailers =)

Eichdee I have only one thing to say... It IS NOT A METAL GEAR SOLID GAME! Just cause there are PMC's and Raiden in it, doesnt make it an MGS Game. Lets look at something Metal Gear SOLID < See the Solid? That means Solid Snake. Hes not even goign to have a cameo. The creme de la creme of a slap in the face wasthe quote form the dick whos directing it: "No more of the old hero on the ground *laughs hesterically*" frell off. How kojima can allow this is outrageous! Theyve taken a swashbuckling sword fighting spine ripping game and slapped a big MGS sticker on the side and called it Metal Gear Solid. -_- One more thing. I completley agree on the Sony conference. The Wii Remote look a like is abismal! But at the same time at least there doing something like that. Kinnect is a joke. That technology is no where near refined enough, maybe in 5 or 6 years but its experimental at this point, I dont feel that "virtual reality" style gaming is here yet. Im not ready to lay down my controller, becasue it still just feels right. Nintendo I dont feel brought much to the board. 3DS? Stop being like EA Games and refining a product and milking it dry. Lucasarts as well anyone? I think its time we saw the future of handheld's as weve been stuck with the current generation handhelds since what? 2004? PSP is heading out. And so is DS. 3D gaming? Its not THAT great. Sure itll look good but I just bought a HD Tv in the last couple of years and now I need to go buy a 3D/HD ready Tv? frell off! HD is sexy enough as it is thank you. e3 in a sentence Motion Sensing, 3D slap in the face with Raiden's big gay ass!

Oh come on it's not that bad, you're exaggerating. It's not like we didn't know that Snake's story was over, and we would move on. Plus it's "Lightning Bolt Action" and not "Tactical Espionnage Action" so =P
I'm still looking forward to it; I'm sure it'll be loads of fun to play.
I agree on everything else you said though. Motion Control and 3D gaming are gimmicks that need to stop, no one cares. We want games with controllers, the way it always worked. I don't really care much for handhelds though, but it's true that instead of re-releasing new versions every year they should just make a new one.

Dee you know how strongly I feel about the Metal Gear Series. So much so you hated me for a few weeks because of it lol Id love to play it too, but its just silly putting the "Solid" portion in it. I mean look at the first game. |Metal Gear for MSX. It was the story of a new warrior going to kill a legendary hero known as Big Boss.
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake started officially telling the story of the warrior Solid Snake. Then Metal Gear Solid told the story of the Legendary Hero Solid Snake. Theres an easy way to fix it.
"Metal Gear Raiden: Lightning Bolt Action" < See how much better that looks.
On the topic of Old Republic (aka this thread which I too have went outrageously off topic on)
PLAYER SHIPS! HOW AWESOME DO THEY LOOK!

Lol Val, the "Solid" in MGS doesn't stand for Solid Snake, it's there because the MG games went from flat to solid. By that I mean 2D to 3D. Kojima retitled the game Metal Gear Solid, choosing this over the working title Metal Gear 3. This was due to the fact that he believed that the first two MSX2 games in the series were not very well known. He used the word 'Solid' which was chosen due to the game being the third instalment in the series, and because it uses 3D computer graphics. So no, Metal Gear Solid: Rising isn't a stupid title xD Can't wait for the game though, just finished Peace Walker and it was pretty awesome, felt almost like a MGS3 2 loll Back on topic, I heard they began selecting people for the beta, but theres still only a slim chance any of us gets in. Buhuu
