Hello all, I saw your "Pride" post on another APB forums. I'm currently looking for my options for a clan once the game hits retail. Currently I'm in the EU beta (despite being from NA). I joined the SPSD for beta but I'm just keeping the door open to see what other clans the similar RP style have to offer. I enjoy the RP style both "The Pride" and SPSD over the "thug" enforcer type groups. A little about myself. I'm 36 from the west coast (US) and i'm a retired fuzz (I have to play the good a guy even in virtual world ) Anyway I have heard good things about your group and like I said above I want to keep my options open for retail. take care and looking forward to meeting you folks, -K9

Welcome K9, glad to see you here! Happy to know you're looking around, at the moment I think it's the best anyone can do - seeing as all beta information will be deleted upon release. This is also why we haven't officially started the faction in APB, we're also just looking around for members, and getting to know them =)
I'm curious to know what you've heard about us though; another new member said the same thing, and I'm wondering what exactly is being said. Compared to the SPSD, WASP, and other factions like those, we aren't that popular yet. I'm happy to know the word is actually going around x3
As for me, I'm 21 (young, I know I know =P). I work as an assistant manager in a resto/bar in Montreal, Québec/Canada.
So you're an ex police officer? How was it?

Well there was an alliance thread in the SPSD forums and the some of the guys were impressed with you gus and even teamed up with one or some of your members. Here are a few quotes from the forums. "I'd like to suggest an alliance with SPPD Pride" and "I was about to say that too, I've been grouping with some SPPD people, friendly folk who can also shoot really well! A potential worthy ally imo." As for age enjoy your youth. Not that I'm father time by any means but when your 36 and been through the crap I have. My Wolverine healing ability took a nose dive. Anyway I was a police officer for 14+ or 3/4ths of your life and have worked everything from patrol, SWAT,Gangs to the best job K-9 handler (hence my name). My career ended 2 years ago when I was broadsided by an idiot who was driving HUA (head up ass). It screwed my back up something fierce, and the dept medically retired me out. It sucks due to boredom and constant back pain. But on the other hand I have lot's of time to game and work with the 2 dogs I have now.

Wow, I'm happy to hear that! I'll post on the SPSD thread to give my own appreciation!
And it sucks about your back. Really lame way to retire from the police =/. Did they get the guy at least? And I'm guessing they give you a good pension?

And I'm guessing they give you a good pension? Ther person who hit me was actully a 16yr female who was on here way to take her driver license test. The collision happened right in front of the DMV....no joke. Anyway, when they retired me out I got 50% of my pay from the highest grossing year so it's about $600 less a check which blows. But good thing about it (the only thing that is), is it is all tax free so at the end of the year I don't have to pay jack when I file for taxes. Also those quotes came from our forums in the below thread so feel free to drop a line. www.4-thirty-5.com/spsd/index.php?topic=27.0

Just gonna put it out there, whenever I watched the reality TV shows about policemen my favourite scenes always involved the K9 unit busting out and chasing some guy down. I laughed my ass off watching them try to outrun a highly trained police dog that chases them down so fast it looks like they were standing still. Also, much like you I hurt my back real bad 5 years ago, I'm sure we have some cool stories to share about recovery and rehab .

Also, much like you I hurt my back real bad 5 years ago, I'm sure we have some cool stories to share about recovery and rehab . Yeah ,there was no better sound then a man being devoured by a dog. There really is a unique scream that is produced as sick as that sounds....lol My first dog's very first bite was a bank robber who crashed in the middle of a major intersection during a pursuit. I was the lead car (perk of being k9 they want you at the front of a chase) anyway dipstick jumped out of his wreck car, and ran right down the middle of the street. I yelled for him to stop and sent the land shark...needless to say the dude was not able to run 30mph and was taken out and bit on the head. As for the back I'm sure the stories would involve lots of needles. I've had some procedures done. But THE WORST I have had to endure was the discogram. It was the single most shitty thing I have EVER experience in my life (and I have had a few broken bones among other things). So I hope you never have to or had to experience that one. For those who are not familiar with what it is. The Dr. uses a thick and long needle to jab into your spine. He/She then injects a dye that puts pressure on the nerve of each disc they are testing. They figure out where the problem is by how much pain you experience... and the kicker is, they cannot give you ANY type of medication to numb or ease the pain.Because they need you to tell them where it hurts....I think used/yelled the words MotherF! ( no, not mother father ) more time in those few minutes then I have in my whole life.

That story just made my day, thankyou K9 ;D
Luckily I managed to avoid surgery for my back injury. I fractured my T4 taking a tumble down some stairs. Spent a week laid up in hospital, couldn't out of bed for the whole 7 days, had to call a nurse if I wanted to roll over. Then spent 3 months in a back brace 24/7. And when I say 24/7 I seriously mean 24 hours a day, non stop for 3 months, then 3 more months of physiotherapy. Luckily (Or unluckily) I sustained my injury when I was young (Only 17) so I bounced back pretty damn well, these days I just spend 3 days a week in the gym working on core strength and I can lead a perfectly normal, near pain free, life.

Welcome K9! I am really sorry to hear about your back. I, for one, am not a fan of needles and your story sounds like a horror movie to me.
Me either Brixi = P
