Btw if anyones looking for real RP in a GTA style setting, I play on an RP server in GTA:SA multiplayer. www.ls-rp.comI havent played in a while, but its pure RP and i'm planning on getting back into it. If any of you guys want to get into it too, it could be a good chance to start over with my character. (She used to be a paramedic, was fun riding around in the ambulances and doing medic RP - but I left for a while and the leadership changed and I became a stranger to the medical faction). I actually had a couple of buddies who were playing that were in in the Yakuza. But once again I wanted to be in the the Police faction. I was going to join (even went out and bought a copy of San Andreas) but opted to not play since I did not feel like playing alone and I think Age of Conan or something came out and I was even further sidetracked. That mod is what I was hoping APB would be when I heard about it. It's not to say it still can't be if they get their act together in the future.

More and more I find myself wondering if it's even worth going through the trouble of bringing back Pride in APB. It's getting more of a chore to just log in, then actually being fun, and that seems to be the case for everyone here too. I want to love this game, I really do, but the more it goes, the more I'm disappointed. I hope they really do have 70% of the content locked for beta (though I really don't believe it's the case). There's more content in free2play games like CombatArms, or buy2play games like GTAIV online, and yet we have to pay per hour to play this one. I dunno...

Also if it comes to a point where you guys don't form but some still intend to play please feel free to join the SPSD. We have 3 divisions. In a nut shell we are organized as follows; 1)Street Patrol- wears the standard police uniform has a partner or partners, drives a patrol car does take missions, and makes arrest mostly by witnessing criminals. Since they focus on making arrest their primary weapon is LTL and a hand gun as the back up. 2)Gang Unit- Unmarked cars with either the tear drop or inside light bars. Uniform is a WIP. Take missions mostly from contacts and keeps an up to date criminal data base on crim clans and member. 3) SRT (SWAT)-Mostly answer backup calls from other units using heavy weapons. Drive around in marked SUVs, Vans or a high speed vehicle if needed. Uniform consists of the typical Tac SWAT style tac gear. They are also putting together some sort of mini Police Academy for all members so everybody is on the same page re; SPSD Policy and Procedures and dept expectations. So like I said if you don't make an APB group feel free to come on over, we would welcome any of you with open arms (not fire arms ). Although I hope you guys stick around especially since you were/are one the very short list of Enf. RP clans I would want to play with:)

We'll have to see if open beta/release really brings something more to the game. Balancing at the very least, as it is now it's barely playable.
And for the payment model, it's either 10$/month or 3$-something for 20 hours, and you have to pay actual money to buy something off the market >.>

The f'ing N-TEC, be it the standard or the lame-ass 3 slotted version and the Rocket Launcher have been the bane of my existence for starters... I hope open beta gets better for you guys. As for, charging for in-game items and game time? Well, monthly fee s are nothing new, although I find the pay for "X" amount of hours thing a little weird. Buying virtual crap for real money.... Well that is becoming more prevalent in games it seems. EA and Cryptic have done this in a few PC titles , and in console gaming it's the norm. With all the MMO crap you can buy on eBay in the form of ships, weapons or in-game money. I think companies are trying to cash in on that niche market, sadly it effects everybody and hinders those who cannot afford, or wish to EARN special equipment .

Well in the PTW beta the only difference I've seen is that you don't crash as much (once crash in 7 hours), and the car handling seems a little better. N-Tec still over powered, matching system still fucked up (threat lvl 1-4 matched up against threat lvl 9+). So guess it's back to DDO unless we decide that we are gonna play APB. Although would all have to have the same version since if you get the EU version you're on the EU servers and the NA version you're on the NA servers (no choice in the matter).

Well in the PTW beta the only difference I've seen is that you don't crash as much (once crash in 7 hours), and the car handling seems a little better. N-Tec still over powered, matching system still frelled up (threat lvl 1-4 matched up against threat lvl 9+). So guess it's back to DDO unless we decide that we are gonna play APB. Although would all have to have the same version since if you get the EU version you're on the EU servers and the NA version you're on the NA servers (no choice in the matter). Well, the PTW server is down for maintenance so hopefully they are adding the patch. I have noticed a decrease in lag (playing on the EU server from NA). But there are still places in the financial district where I experience some lag. The worst is if there is a fight going on in those areas with a lot of people. My game will seize up and I have to ctl-alt-del out of it.

I haven't logged in in like a good two weeks, so yeah. I think we've all pretty much lost interest. It's sad, because that game had potential. I blame EA xD
